Harzkristall glass manufactury

The craft of manual glass production is part of the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. The HARZKRISTALL glass factory in Derenburg is one of the few still producing mouth glassworks in Germany. Here traditional glass craftsmanship is presented in an eventful way.
The smelter, founded in 1949, is the only one in Saxony-Anhalt and the northernmost glassworks in Germany. On adventure tours through the glassworks, you will learn everything about the creation and processing of glass - and you can accompany the glassblowers in the production of hand-blown glass products and feel the heat of the melting furnace on your face.
