Harz narrow gauge railways

With the steam horses of the Harz narrow-gauge railways, you can discover the mountains of the Harz in a relaxed way and experience it in the true sense of the word. The route network covers a total of approx. 140 km and leads to popular excursion destinations such as Schierke or Drei Annen Hohne, through the beautiful Selketal, to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Quedlinburg and of course up to the Brocken.
Let the fresh mountain air blow around your nose on the platforms of the guest carriages while the landscape drifts by - it's like traveling by train as it used to be, relaxed, a little slowed down and yet - fast! So, please get in!

Travel times: The current timetables with all stations can be found on the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen website. The Brockenbahn runs around five times a day from Wernigerode up to the Brocken in summer.

Tip: In addition to the regular timetable, the Harz narrow-gauge railways offer numerous adventure train rides. How about, for example, a moonlight trip through the Selke Valley, a crime dinner in the dining car or the Advent Express to Nordhausen? Have a good trip!
